Mythical & Shiny Batomon in Batomon Showdown — How to Get Them

Mythical and Shiny Batomon from the official record — the ??? tab, the Trophy/Medal/Star stickers, the Gamer route — and which paths are still community-reported.

FAQ

What does the "???" tab in the Batopedia mean?
The 1.0.0 patch notes added it "for event Batomon and mythicals" — it is where the game files its Event monsters (Talonite, Wishwash, Basilord) alongside its Mythicals. The tab exists only in-game; no official source enumerates everything inside it yet.
Is Mythical a monster or a rarity?
A rarity tier. It sits above Legendary — patch 1.1.0 promoted the Alpha Crown trinket into it ("Rarity: Legendary → Mythical") — and Mythical monsters have their own home in the Batopedia's ??? tab. The label covers both a monster tier and a trinket rarity.
How do you get Mythical Batomon?
The one officially shown route is the Gamer trainer, whose card reads "Gain a Mythical monster on day 9" in the game's own store screenshot. Four further routes circulate in the community — Shopkeeper's mythical ticket, rarity-raising trinkets, a dragon egg plus a rarity-up event, and a Mad Scientist event conversion — none verified in a documented run yet.
How do you get a Shiny Batomon?
No official source says. The record only defines the Star sticker — "earned for winning a championship with a Shiny version of that Batomon" — which proves Shinies exist per monster, but the odds and the way one enters a run are undocumented. Community Shiny threads are showcases of found Shinies, not verified farming methods.
Do Shiny Batomon have different stats?
Yes, wherever the patch notes touch them: 1.1.0 lists Danuki's Shiny damage share at 120% → 84% and Torrantler's Shiny cooldown at 6.5 → 5.5 seconds, separate from their normal values, and hotfix v1.0.1 left Shiny Sukoi's level cap at 4 while cutting Sukoi's own to 3.
What is a Shiny Level 4 Mythic?
The community's shorthand for the game's ceiling: a Shiny variant of a Level 4 Mythical monster. Retromation's showcase of one drew 42,000+ views. Both halves of the combination are covered on this page and in the Level 4 guide — but assembling one depends on acquisition routes this page cannot yet verify.

What are Mythical and Shiny Batomon?

Mythical is a rarity tier above Legendary; Shiny is a per-monster variant with its own stats. The Batopedia keeps a “???” tab “for event Batomon and mythicals”, and one route appears in official store media: the Gamer trainer, “Gain a Mythical monster on day 9”. All other routes are player accounts, labeled as such below.

The Mythical tier in the official record

Three pieces of the official record define the tier, and together they place it above everything the regular shop sells:

Fact Exact official wording Source
Mythicals have a Batopedia home, next to the Event pool ‘Added a “???” tab to the Batopedia for event Batomon and mythicals.’ 1.0.0 release notes, Sep 15, 2026
Mythical outranks Legendary Alpha Crown: ‘Rarity: Legendary → Mythical’ — moved up because it ‘can be instantly game winning majority of games, so it would fit better as a mythical trinket’ Patch 1.1.0 notes, Sep 22, 2026
The shop ladder itself stops at Legendary Five rarity slots on the demo build’s Rank 1 odds bar (100% Common at Rank 1); 1.1.0’s Wishwash line climbs ‘Uncommon/Rare/Super Rare → Rare/Super Rare/Legendary’ Demo shop screen; Patch 1.1.0 notes

So the regular ladder ends at Legendary, and Mythical arrives from outside it — the ??? pool, event conversions and trinket promotions are where the record places it. The Event monsters that share the ??? tab are officially day-tagged, too: 1.1.0 calls Talonite ‘a day 6 event Batomon’.

What the record never does is name which monsters are Mythical. The ??? tab exists only in-game, no patch note or store page enumerates it, and this site does not guess — the monster list tracks every officially named Batomon and grows as the ??? tab gets verified in-game.

Shiny Batomon and the Trophy, Medal and Star stickers

The April devlog defines three achievement stickers shown beside every Batomon in the Batopedia:

Sticker Official definition (devlog, April 27, 2026)
Trophy ‘Earned for winning a championship with that Batomon’
Medal ‘Earned for winning a championship with that Batomon at level 3 (or higher)’
Star ‘Earned for winning a championship with a Shiny version of that Batomon’

The Star is where the game officially acknowledges Shinies: win a championship with the Shiny version and the card keeps a star. The inspect panel carries a dedicated SHINY button under its level selector, visible in the game’s own store screenshot:

The Batopedia inspect panel in the game’s official store screenshot: the Legendary Fire monster Blixie with its ability text, level selector buttons Lv 1 through Lv 4, and a SHINY button beneath them

Shiny variants carry their own numbers wherever the patch notes touch them:

Monster Normal value Shiny value Source
Danuki Share of a knocked-out ally’s Damage: 100% → 70% Shiny: 120% → 84% Patch 1.1.0
Torrantler Cooldown: 8 → 7 Shiny: 6.5 → 5.5 Patch 1.1.0
Sukoi Max level from its level up: 4 → 3 Shiny Sukoi: ‘Max level from its level up: 4 (unchanged)’ Hotfix v1.0.1

That last row is the clearest evidence a Shiny is a mechanically distinct variant rather than a palette swap: the same hotfix cut one form’s cap and left the other’s alone. The Medal definition ties the sticker chase to levels as well — a championship win at level 3 or higher — which is the territory of the leveling guide.

How do you get a Mythical Batomon?

The Gamer trainer is the one route the game itself advertises. The trainer-select screenshot on the official Steam store page shows the card in plain text:

The trainer select screen in the game’s official store screenshot: three trainer cards, with the Gamer card reading “Gain a Mythical monster on day 9” and Mythical highlighted in red, between Egg Breeder and Masked Man

That is a first-party promise, not a player theory — but the community’s September trainer board still grades Gamer poorly, and the trainer tier list carries the whole argument. The short version: the promise arrives late and demands survival until day 9. One commenter’s entire case is the timing — ‘F tier… day 9???’; a kinder vote says ‘at least B, maybe A. If you can just stay alive until you get a mythic you can usually convert it into a win’; the board’s top-rated objection: ‘even when you hit the mythic, a lot of them don’t even stabilize you. I’ve limped into day 9, hit goldora or riglord, and my runs just end’.

Everything beyond Gamer is a community account. The routes below converge in one thread that asks, flat out, ‘is Gamer the only way to get Mythicals in the game?’ — none has been reproduced in a documented run on this site:

Route What players report Status
Gamer trainer (day 9) ‘Gain a Mythical monster on day 9’ — the card text above Officially shown (store screenshot); in-game behavior not yet reproduced here
Shopkeeper + mythical ticket ‘+1 to item tier means you can get mythical items, including a mythical ticket: rerolls a shop full of mythical mons’ — kept affordable with a Gildshell + Draconarch economy; the trainer board calls Shopkeeper ‘one of the few reliable mythical engines you get’ in Pantra Community — two threads
Rarity-raising trinkets ‘a common trinket (Treasure Map?) that increases the rarity of your next trinket gift… you can hit the mythic trinket that puts a mythic in your next shop’; a second voice adds ‘a super rare (or legendary I forget) trinket that spawns a mythical in your shop’ Community — one thread
Dragon egg + rarity event ‘getting dragon egg into the event that upgrades your mons by 1 rarity’ Community — one thread
Mad Scientist → scientist event ‘the first choice turn all the random legends you got into mythics’ Community — one thread

One variant has an official hook worth noting: the Masked Man’s card, visible in the same screenshot above, reads ‘Every 4 days, choose a trainer and gain their ability’ — and one player’s verdict, ‘masked man is basically gamer but better’, treats that as a second door into Gamer’s ability. The mechanism on the card is official; using it as a Mythical route is a community read.

The names that surface when players discuss the day-9 pull — Cosmivore, Goldora, Riglord, Riglet, Omnichrome, Aerophim, Faebloom — are community vocabulary too. They come from run reports in the same threads (‘I’ve limped into day 9, hit goldora or riglord’; the Cosmivore showcase that opened the thread), and no official source has matched any of them to the ??? tab yet. They are recorded here as search aids, not as a confirmed Mythical list.

How do you get a Shiny?

The record defines Shinies by their finish line, not their start. A Star sticker is earned ‘for winning a championship with a Shiny version of that Batomon’ — so Shinies exist per monster, they can carry a run to a championship, and they bring their own numbers (table above). How one enters a run in the first place appears in no patch note, devlog or store description. The community’s Shiny threads are showcases of Shinies players already found, not farming guides, which matches this site’s read that no verified method exists to publish.

The most-watched Shiny content treats it as the endgame ceiling: Retromation’s ‘Shiny Level 4 Mythic is Obviously Busted!’ stacks a Shiny onto a Level 4 Mythic — the Level 4 half of that combination is what the Level 4 guide maps from the official side.

Open questions this page is tracking (none answered by official sources yet)
  • How a Shiny appears in a run — shop offer, event reward, trinket conversion, or something else entirely: undocumented.
  • Odds — no probability for a Shiny appearing exists in any official source.
  • What the SHINY button does — the Batopedia panel’s button is visible in store screenshots; its function is not explained anywhere this site can quote.
  • Whether a Star sticker grants anything — the sticker marks the achievement; no official text attaches a reward to it.

Mythical runs worth watching

Two showcases cover the Mythical ceiling better than prose can — view counts as of September 27, 2026, the creators’ own numbers:
